At church on Sunday an elderly women came up to me and asked if I was Sister Rencher. She then proceeded to say that she had been told to ask me if I had any pioneer clothing that could be used for the Relief Society birthday celebration. She specifically asked for a long skirt and a shawl. My first thought was...why did someone send her my way to find pioneer clothing? I know I am not the most fasionable person but please tell me I don't look like all my clothes are homemade (not that homemade is a bad thing, but if I made them it would be). This woman asked me with such enthusiasm I couldn't turn her down so I told her I would get a hold of something that would work. So I am now asking any and all of you if you for some reason have anything that resembles pioneer clothing that I could borrow. Or know where I can find some?

try the theatrical shop in des moines. They have some clothes that can be rented or purchased. we actually bought Savannah a pioneer dress from there a couple of years ago for a music program at school. Good luck!
Maybe asked you that because of our cousin Allison? She has a sewing blog and is AMAZING!!! Otherwise...um....good luck? I guess you could try to figure something out with that new sewing machine of yours!
You are a super cute dresser so I know that is not why she asked you. I think Joe would call some of my clothes "Pioneer inspired," and I would totally let you borrow them if we lived near.
Hope you are doing good!

I have a pioneer dress, apron, bonnet, bloomers. I made them for when we went on pioneer trek as a ma and pa. I guess I could ship them to you if you want. Happy birthday yesterday I hope it was a good one. I want to see pictures of the festivities.
