A messy situation...

Our little princess has the tendency to not only spit up all the time, but vomit projectile style. I always bring extra outfits for her in the diaper bag, but I should be bringing an extra outfit for me since I am usually the one who ends up covered in vomit while she remains all nice and clean. Who knew something so small could create such a large mess. This particular time I heard the spit up move its way from her belly all the way up her esophagus before it came out her mouth. The first time it happened it was scary but now we are use to it. It doesn't seem to bother Cambri at all. It is a good thing she is so darn cute.

All Smiles...

Nothing makes me more happy than seeing Cambri smile. She is watching the fan above our kitchen table and couldn't be happier.

Worst Mom award...I win:(

On Tuesday morning I had to go somewhere for a few hours so I hurried and made a formula bottle with some of the liquid formula and headed out the door leaving Nate to feed the baby. Too bad I didn't pay attention to the big bold words- Must add water. That is right, I fed my 6 week old daughter a bottle of formula concentrate that was supposed to be mixed with water at a 1:1 ratio. This unfortunate event has made Cambri soooooooooooooooooooooo gassy and constipated (not to mention that 3/4 of what she did eat came back up projectile vomit style). The poor little thing has to grunt and push with all her might to pass the gas bubbles that are attacking her little belly. And lets just say she hasn't been very regular these last few days. It is bad enough that she doesn't sleep that well. I basically feel like the meanest mom in the world. Luckily she won't ever remember. I am sure I will do plenty of things later on that will win me this same award.

Happy Birthday Nate!!!

Happy Birthday Old Man--I love you the most!!!

I can't really give Nate a hard time for being an old man because I have him beat by 4 1/2 months.

It was a pretty relaxed birthday. We opted not to invite people over for cake and ice cream because that would mean cleaning the apartment. Instead I made dinner and we watched National Treasurer 2. Nate and I have started a little tradition of making eachother unique birthday cakes so this year (thanks to marthastewart.com) his was made out of rice crispy treats and chocolate marshmallow frosting. Easy but yummy!
I totally look like a beat up, tired mom in this picture.

Home Sweet Home

We had a chance to spend a few weeks with family in Idaho and Utah. It felt so good to be home! Not that we don't love the hot humid Iowa air:) I will write about some of our adventures later but for now here are some fun pics. Uncle Kenny lovin' on Cambri.

Something seems very fishy!
Hanging out with Thatcher. Cambri's long arms kept wacking Thatcher in the face.
Carsyn loved her new little cousin.
She looks like a giant in this picture. I am pretty sure she got her daddy's legs. Lets just hope she doesn't turn out to be 6'4" like her daddy.

We blessed Cambri on July 6th at Nate's parents' house in Idaho Falls. She looked beautiful and Nate did a fabulous job with the blessing. I was very proud of both of them. Thanks to Mark and Karen for opening their home for the event and thanks to my parents for making the trip up to Idaho Falls. P.S. Cambri has her daddy wrapped around her little finger.

I know I am a shrimp compared to Nate's family. Sometimes I forget just how much taller Nate is, but then lovely pics like this one make it very clear:). Oh well.
