I want to mention quickly something that happened to me the other day. I comment on it only to point out that we can never know when we are having an impact on someone else's life, and that we need to be on our toes at all time.
There is this girl Kwanda that would come to almost every group exercise class I taught at the gym...no matter what gym (we have three in the area and one is really far away) or class format I was teaching. And she would always make sure to thank me after class for the workout. Last week she came to me after class to let me know that this would be her last time because she and her husband were moving to California. She proceeded to tell me that she really appreciated my classes and would miss them a lot. She started to tear up as she told me that she had lost her job a few months back and had been having a really hard time with it. She then told me that coming to my classes really helped her get through it because she would see me working hard even though I was pregnant. She said "I know you must be tired but you keep working hard and that really helped me keep going even when I wanted to be down on myself". I was amazed I had such an impact on her.
Again I don't share this with you to brag about myself but rather to just remind us all that we can and do have an impact on those we come in contact with each day. Even when we don't realize it. We never know how much the simple things we do each day will mean to others. Hopefully you will remember this as you go about your day feeling like you do the same thing day in and day out, and wonder if what you are doing is making a difference. Because it is.
I also really appreciate the fact that Kwanda let me know how much she appreciated me. There were many days that I didn't want to be teaching. I was tired. I put on my happy face and pretended I was excited to be bouncing around like an annoying aerobics instructor. It is nice to know that our actions are appreciated every once in a while. I hope we will remember to thank those around us that do the small things that make a big difference.

That's a neat story. I'm glad you shared it. I think it is time for another pregnant picture. Oh, by the way, I started on your baby gift yesterday and got really excited. You are getting so close!
Megan, you do good by the unassuming and happy life you live. I'm glad I still get to watch you through your blog.
That doesn't surprise me. You have made my day plenty of times. I wished that we still lived close by. Did you know that Mark and Kat are in Chicago for an internship? I don't know how close you are, but maybe you could meet up with them while they're there.
I love you Megan, every day more than the day before. You are so much like your mother in character and tenderness. I know that she and Grandma Nola are proud of you for who you have become. I am honored to be your grandpa.
