Niagra Falls

We have had the chance to do some exploring this last month. Nate finished up his ER rotation on Wednesday, leaving us with a free weekend! (That hasn't happened in years it seems like). We decided to head north and check out Niagra Falls. It really was beautiful and worth the 4 hour trip.

Not the best picture, but it was one of the only family pictures we got while on the trip. It is basically impossible to get Cambri to look at the camera, and even more impossible to get a stranger to take a decent picture that doesn't have more rock than scenery in it:). We went on the Maid of the Mist boat ride. It was fun and we got soaked. Cams hated it. She had a minor breakdown and would not let go. She clung to my neck the whole time and begged to go inside. Unfortunately there was no inside. The poor thing was so worked up she ended up peeing her pants. Luckily I had the poncho on or I would have been soaked. Only my foot felt the trickle as the pee ran down the poncho.

This was taken just minutes after the we got off the boat. I guess it didn't scar her for life.

Here is a belly shot for you inquiring minds.

Nate and Cam at the Rainforest Cafe where we ate dinner.
We are in vacation mode now and soon will be checking out Philidelphia. Nate has to take an 8 hour test while we are there but other than that we will get a chance to play and explore.

We love Niagra Falls, It's fun to see the same pictures of others there. We went two years ago, my girls are so much bigger now. In answer to your question, my camera is a sony a200. It is not the top of the line DSLR, but it suits me just fine. It's an older model so you might be able to find it at a pretty decent price. We spent about $500 on it about a year ago. I know a lot of people prefer the Canon DSLR. A good place to find out more about what kind of camera is best for you is www.digital-photography-school.com

I love my camera, but a quality editing program is essential too. I have photoshop lightroom, which I love! It is much easier to use than regular photoshop or photoshop elements, but it is limited on the more creative possibilities, so you have to decide which is more important to you. If you haven't already, you might want to play around with editing your photos on a free website like Picasa.com, or Picnic.com or photoshop.com, they help a lot when you are first getting started, and they're free.

I would say it has all been worth every penny we have spent. Not only do I love having beautiful pictures of my girls, but it's a really fun hobby for me as well. I love being able to take professional looking pictures for my friends too. I hated my experiences at the mall trying to get pictures done, but you already know all of that. If you have more questions let me know. Good luck!

Never been to Niagra Falls, but it looks like a must.

Love seeing the pictures of your trip. Love the striped shirt on Cam. Love your baby belly. Love the family pic with the rainbow. Love that Nate had the weekend off. Love that I get to see you soon.

Okay, I'll stop now.

Oh, one more thing.

Love you.
